Land data platform Acres.com has launched Homebuilder Market Intelligence, a new product that combines the company's datasets into a single dashboard showing housing growth in any U.S. market.
The tool covers more than 1,000 metro and micropolitan areas and over 3,000 counties. It draws on more than 155 million parcel records and 60 million land transactions.
Closings data shows builders where activity has already happened, but not where it's going. To address that, Acres.com says it adds forward-looking signals: unmasked land and lot transfers, platting activity, builder pipelines, listings, pricing strategies, economic growth, and household financial conditions. The goal is to help land and development teams see where builders are acquiring land and where development is picking up before it shows up in closings.
Acres CEO Carter Malloy described the launch as a way to bring transparency to smaller and fast-growing markets, where good data has historically been harder to find.
“Real estate is local, but access to quality market intelligence has historically been uneven,” Malloy said in a press release published on Wednesday. “When smaller and fast-growing markets are easier to understand, they become easier to invest in. Homebuilder Market Intelligence is designed to bring greater transparency to those markets, helping attract more capital, increase competition, and ultimately support healthier housing markets across the U.S.”
The Fayetteville, Arkansas-based company says the product is available now through Acres.com.
